Glass Options

Stairs with glass balustrades have become very popular. Our glass is 10mm thick and toughened as standard. Below are a few of the different ways in which the glass can be fitted.

Glass in Clamps

Glass in clamps is our most popular glass option. The clamps come in chrome as standard but stainless steel and other options are available on request. The clamps are fitted to the top side of the string and the underneath of the handrail and are tightened with an allen key to hold the glass securely in place.

Glass in Grooves

Glass in grooves is ideal for those wanting more of a minimalist look to their stairs. The top side of the string and the underneath of the handrail is 'Grooved' to the same thickness as the glass and is slotted in, with the appliance of some silicone, for a snug fit.

Glass Slithers

Glass slithers are fitted in the same way as glass in grooves, the only difference is the panels are a lot smaller. (Approximately 200mm wide, but this does vary depending on the length of the balustrade).
